Attention Conservation Notice

An Attention Conservation Notice, is exactly that. It is a brief statement that saves the reader a bit of time by outlining the general contents of an article. Why read the whole article if nothing in the ACN piques your interest?

The concept was introduced by Bruce Sterling in his Viridian Design notes.

In this noder's opinion, many texts would be greatly enhanced by an Attention Concervation Notice.
