Also spelled Aurangzib.

Born 1618, died 1707.

The third son of Shah Jahan, and last great ruler of the Mughal Empire.

A serious sibling rivarly with his brother, Dara Shikoh (who had been named by their father as the successor), led to a ruthless war ultimatly won by Aurangzeb.
