MP3.com phenomenon Big Poo Generator is an interesting band, formed primarily to entertain themselves, but they succeed in entertaining others in the process.
Often compared with the likes of Frank Zappa, and They Might Be Giants, Big Poo Generator have a truly unique sound. A combination of often pitch-shifted vocals, cheap home keyboards and all too prominent vibra-slap and pea-whistle noises should make a total cacophony. The lyrics - many carrying Parental Advisory - are almost complete nonsense. The band suggests that you should not try to understand them too deeply, just enjoy them and laugh.
Major lyric themes include bodily parts, bodily functions, food and retards.
The real saving grace is the absolutely amazing quality of the songwriting. The phrasing, development, chord progressions, harmonies and even the orchestration - given their limited orchestra - are exquisite.
