One of the greatest video game companies ever. Seriously. They're right up there with Squaresoft. Almost all of their games were hits, and rightly so. They describe their games as Strategy Games for the Action-Game Player.
Epyx was founded in 1978 by Jon Freeman and originally called Automated Simulations. They grew to over 200 employees around 1986, but later filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy. They overcame bankruptcy, but finally disappeared around 1991.Products:
