If you have, then you know this, but if you haven't...beware. Things will come out of it that will make you shake your head in wonder, fear and possibly disgust! Your keyboard is essentially a well-designed trap for all things small and granular; only the small things fit between the keys, but that guarantees that they'll be in there for all eternity. Dust, pencil points, the eyeglass screw I couldn't find, $0.47 in change, and more. They're the geek equivalent of sofa cushions! I even found a ferret claw and a ferret treat in there...and I thought the little buggers couldn't get up on my desk...hmmm....

According to A Recent Study, the average keyboard collects 0.28g of gunk per month, of which the largest proportion is food items (or parts thereof).
