Calvin's favorite book/comic from the comic strip Calvin and Hobbes. Calvin's dad hated the book and tried anything he could to deter Calvin from forcing him to read it over and over again.

Hobbes: I don't remember the story being like THAT.

Interestingly enough, the author of Hamster Huey wrote a sequel which Calvin was equally keen on his father reading. It was called 'Commander Coriander Salamander and 'er Single-Hander Belly Lander'. Calvin's dad announced that authors of all children's books should be forced to read them every night to small fractious children.
