A tumour of the islet cells of the pancreas. As these cells are hormone producers, the tumour can be either hormone producing or non-hormone producing.

This may be related to MEN (Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome).

Mortality rates for this disease are pretty high, especially if the disease is already metastatic when diagnosed.
