The Danny Finkleman Show

A 70s Saturday-morning CBC Radio show. It was somewhat like Basic Black, which later took the time slot, but with a more-laidback host (this was the 70s, after all). Others on the show were gonzo sports "analyst" Joe Fan, Toronto filmmaker Don Shebib (whose Goin' Down the Road was, arguably, the First Great Canadian Film, though far more people have seen the SCTV parody of it), and Don Novello's Father Guido Sarducci. And the requisite Canadian content music, a tune from Edmonton blues singer Big Miller, for instance. Danny had a couple of ill-fated CBC-TV production gigs back then as well; he now spins oldies on Finkleman's 45s.
