The name of a novel by Nobel Prize winning Portugese author José Saramago. The novel is similar in content to the other Gospels of the New Testament, however it gives a much clearer picture of Jesus's motives and emotions as the Son of God, which raises interesting questions about the fiction/nonfiction qualities of the 4 major Gospels.
