A civilian crime-fighting organization, founded in the "Fear City" 70s days of New York by Curtis Sliwa. They are, perhaps, the spiritual ancestor of all those "Community Watch" programs. Now a worldwide thing, and they're in cyberspace as well - the CyberAngels were founded in 1995, to protect your kiddies from being mugged by a miscreant router or blink tag. Or something. But Curtis still says "DOS" stands for "Department of Sanitation".
