cabaret performances. In the 1970s, you could see
Eartha Kitt or
Michael Feinstein play there. Now you're more likely to see
Weslia Whitfield or
Paula West. If you want to see cabaret in San Francisco, this is the place to go. The room is small, with excellent
acoustics and a
Tiffany-style
stained glass ceiling. There's usually a
two drink minimum on top of the cover charge. 940 Sutter Street, between Hyde and Leavenworth, in the York Hotel. It's five blocks from
Union Square-- but they're long blocks.
