The Royal Game

A nickname for chess. This nickname probably came from the beginnings of chess, 1400 years ago, when it was used to train Indian princes about military strategy. This as well as the fact that it was a rich person game in the beginning since the poor people had to slave away and get the mumps and what not and had little time to play The Royal Game.
