A computer game for DOS and the Commodore 64 that gives me that warm, fuzzy, this-is-exactly-what-I-want feeling when I play it.

You get to choose 1 of 3 warriors (2 guys, 1 badass chick) to play in this rad bird's-eye-view fantasy-style action RPG. The quests are fun and the game flows so well and everything works. You can:

talk to people: to find out about quests or acquire information
find items: to increase your skill or fulfill quests
fight monsters: they are wandering around outside villages and there are more of them at night than during the day
kill anybody you want: this includes villagers and key characters (which isn't recommended)
you have to eat: you can buy or find food

Times of Lore is a very beautifully constructed video game.
