Trond Giske (1966-) is the norwegian minister of education. He is very conserned about equal rights to education, international solidarity, and that "40.000 children are starving to death each day". Many young social democrats hope to see Trond Giske as prime minister in Norway some day.

Leader of Trondheim AUF (the Labour Youth League) 1988, Leader leder i S0r-Trøndelag AUF 1989-90. Leader of AUF 1992-96. Member of the Labour party's central board 1992-96. Member for the norwegian parlament siden 1997.
