The concept "property is theft" comes from
Pierre-Joseph Proudhon, in his book What is Property? Proudhon was an anarchist, not a marxist, and the anarchist concept of property does not mean, "what one owns" like it does now. "Property" basically meant ownership of land, and everything else owned was "possession". Anarchists support possessions, and oppose property.
