Woodpusher

A slangy term for a chess novice.

One who knows the basic rules of chess, but little more.
Therefore, he or she will merely be pushing the (traditionally wooden) chess pieces around, to little or no effect. Do you see?

Though your basic woodpusher may start out dreaming that he is about to play the game of the century, there is a high likelihood that he will in fact find himself a victim of scholar's or fool's mate.

Which is highly embarrassing.

Or so i've heard...

Usually A derogatory term to describe a skateboarder.

History: There has always been a rivalry between skateboarders and aggressive in-line skaters. Sometimes its based upon joke sometimes its actual despisal for the other. Usually, skaters will call bladers fruitbooters in return.
