Woody Creek Rod & Gun Club

Hunter S. Thompsonīs home Woody Creek Canyon in Colorado, about 10 miles or so from Aspen is a designated Rod and Gun Club.

The club has hosted famous shooters such as Jimmy Carter, George McGovern and Keith Richards (according to salon.com), where they have shot clay pigeons and other stationary targets.

Tompson mentioned the club in a recent page 2 column on ESPN.com

"The club is little-known to the public, and we like it that way."

Thompson is the executive director of the club.
