Something which is absurd, in that it doesn't necessarily make sense. Linked with surrealism, and the surrealist movement, with people such as Salvador Dali and Luis Bunel. But whereas surrealism never really makes sense, absurdism does do so on some level. Typically, Waiting for Godot, a play by Samuel Beckett is an example of the absurdist genre.
