The term charismatic is derived from the greek word "charisma" which means gift. For instance, those in the Christians who call themselves "charismatic" believe in such gifts from god as the gift of healing, speaking in tongues, and other such things. Charisma in the English language has come to mean an ambitious drive coupled with an ability to get others to support your cause. People like Adolph Hitler and Martin Luther King were certainly charismatic in leading their chosen causes....
