Consulting jargon for an employee from the client who works alongside the consultants. The client empoweree learns the new tool / application / package so that when the project is done, they can take responsibility for it.

The client empoweree, ideally, has an active role in the development process. One reasonably large consulting firm makes it a practice to count client empowerees as one half of a developer when estimating the manpower on a project.

Of course, some client empowerees contribute as much as a crash test dummy, but even at that, they can be useful...
