cold in a warm room

Trying to talk myself out of a shiver hardly ever works. It only makes sense; I direct everything inward. No energy left to keep myself warm, too busy keeping myself jittery under the illusion of self-propelled safety.   If I think of all the dangers, none of them will happen.   not true not true. I build up fears like fences, walls, anything tall and barricading, anything to keep me in here, away from any of you. How many of us have forgotten that we are shivering for no external reason?
