This is the key combination to force quit an application under MacOS. Typically this is an effort in futility as about 60% of the time it just causes the force quit dialogue to hang out there while your app stays frozen and nothing responds, forcing a reboot... On OSX Beta this brings up a task list much like under windows and allows you to force quit an app you choose, and it's not likely to hang the system either...
