In IT terms, a communications specialist has the some what overwhelming job of insuring proper inter department communications. This often includes any of the following jobs: administer intranet e-mail, write procedures and documentation, ensure existance of voice and data cable infrastructure, write RFP's for new voice and data infrastructures, etc.
