A phrase used in BBC TV's Blue Peter to describe double sided Sellotape without using it's brand name. The BBC was bizarely cautious when it came to avoiding product placement, so much so that it would blank out any product name. This would sometimes require it's obliteration with a marker pen. The double sided Sellotape would be used to hold together tacky home made goods, demonstrated on the 'Make you own gifts for Grandma' section of the show.
