Doxepin is sold under brand names such as Adapin and Sinequan. This antidepressant/sedative's side effects include low or high blood pressure, drowsiness, agitation, numbness, dry mouth, blurred vision, weight loss/gain, and a host of other symptoms.

In high doses, it can cause heart arrhythmias, circulatory problems and seizures (the latter only in people who already have convulsive disorders like epilepsy). Overdoses can cause coma, heart attack and death.
