Experientially negotiated reality is the ideal for reality negotiated in the absence of ideals. We move closer to it by looking for evidence of tendencies within our sense experience which run counter to our prejudices. Notice that this is opposite the natural way to collate sense data -- the natural way being to seek out data which supports our prejudices. Many people seeking to achieve experientially negotiated reality refer to the elimination of prejudices as deprogramming. One of the supreme systems of deprogramming of all time is Zen Buddhism. Other forms include Psychoanalysis, Chaos Magick and Thelema.
