A small
pyrotechnic device (
firework) sized and shaped like a
AA battery. Once
ignited, it begins to emit
sparks and a colored
flame from a hole in its side. The rapid exiting of
combustion gasses causes the
firework to
spin rapidly on the ground (hence the name) while the
flame changes colors. This
firework is very good at setting anything it gets near
ablaze and should never be used near anything
flammable. While it is called a ground bloom, it will also
spin briefly in the air if
thrown or
mechanically launched after the
fuse has been lit. Commonly sold in
blister packs in
fireworks tents.
