In the Babylon 5 universe, an energy vortex created to provide an entry to, or exit from, hyperspace. Most jump points are created by jumpgates, although larger warships and White Star ships carry generators with which they can form their own jump points.

Shadow vessels have the capability to disrupt jump points. Forming a jump point within an active jumpgate generally results in a massive explosion destroying the gate (the "bonehead maneuver").
