lameness filter

Slashdot, in an attempt to thwart the really annoying Anonymous Cowards who consistently post ASCII Art or SHOUT IN ALL CAPS, installed a lameness filter. While it stops the idiots, it still has two problems:

  • The clever trolls know how to get around the ALL CAPS restriction.
  • You can't post Brainfuck source code because it looks too much like ASCII Art.

  • Personally, I don't think it's worth it.

The way to evade Slashdot's lameness filter (whether you're just saying "first post!" or you're SHOUTING IN ALL CAPS) is to add in a link tag with some lowercase, normally spaced bunk in the URL. This can be added at the end of the comment and left unclosed (best way) or just closed immediately after it's opened (sometimes leaves a telltale underlined space).
    E.g.
IF I EVER MEET YOU I WILL KICK YOUR ASS!
<a href="Twas brillig, and the slithy toves, did gyre and gimbal in the wabe...">
