After several years of intensive
research we have been able to establish the fact that the
Universe is in fact a
coredump.
As for the
nature of the original
program which caused this coredump, through careful
analysis of the
Universe's properties, we have determined that it was a heavily
3D program (our Universe has 3 spatial dimensions) which involved, among others,
collision detection (solid objects cannot intersect each other), erratic movement (see
brownian motion) and unescapable
destruction (
second law of thermodynamics).
This led us to the following (somewhat disturbing) conclusion :
