General term to describe questions that start with either what, when, why, which, how (included, although it doesn't really sound like 'wh') or who. Together, they describe the properties of problems and situations. Because none of these questions can be answered with a simple 'yes' or 'no', they are a common problem in machine learning and artificial intelligence. The main question in AI is how to make computers understand specifically these sort of questions.
