El Sabor Autentico de la Salsa Mexicana

Cholula is my favorite hot sauce. It's slightly thicker, spicier, and more flavorful than Tabasco. You can always pick it out from the mass of hot sauce bottles on the counter at the Bayou Kitchen because it has a distinctive wooden top. It's imported from Mexico and is readily available in grocery stores (at least in my area).

Ingredients:

  • vinegar
  • red peppers
  • piquin peppers
  • salt
  • spices
  • edible food stabilizer
  • 0.1% sodium benzoate

Also a town in Puebla, Mexico where La Universidad de Las Americas, (La UDLA) is located. Cholula and Puebla are almost one city, because they are so close, but are very different. Puebla, much larger has about 1 million people where Cholula has signifigantly less. The town of Cholula is divided into two main parts, San Andreás and San Pedro. San Pedro sits at the base of an active volcano which every once in a while will leave you a thin layer of ash on your car as a "present."
