A simple response to the "The world owes me something" attitude that seems so prevalent in American society (and, I'm guessing, lots of other societies) today.

The world owes me nothing ... I was allowed the dubious gift of life, the ability to change, modify, and improve my world as I see fit. I was given the freedom to do what I would.

Here comes the rest ... we owe each other the world. We owe each other the ability to enjoy unsullied nature, we owe each other the ability to feed, house, and adequately care for thier families without shame or embarassment. We owe each other everything ... and the world, well ... we're lucky the world still lets us hang out here.

At least until we get too annoying.
