Yuma is a town of about 100,000 (250k+ during wintertime) in the southwest corner of
Arizona. Yuma is the sunniest place in the continential
United States, averaging more days of
sun per year than anywhere else. Climate-wise, it's rather nice in
spring,
fall, and
winter, but once
summer hits, the
tourists bolt and the heat rises upwards of 125 degrees. It is quite close to both
California and
Mexico.
