ArachNIDS (an acronym for advanced reference archive of current heuristics for network intrusion detection systems ) is an extensive database of network attack signatures that can dynamically generate signature files for use in Intrusion Detection Systems such as pakemon and snort. The database was created by Ray Butler, most commonly known by his handle "Max Vision," who ironically, was charged in a federal court for malicious hacking.
