The birth of civilizations are generally thought of as four places. India, near the Indus River, China, near the Yellow River (Huang He), Mesopotamia, near the Tigris River and Euphrates River, and Egypt, near the Nile River. These civilizations were noted for creating written language, political systems, temples, considerable infrastructure.
