OLFACTORY HALLUCINATION: False perception of strong or pungent, often unpleasant odors; usually a result of organic disease but may signify psychiatric disease; also known as gustatory hallucinations.

Typcial causes of Olfactory Hallucinations (in no particular order):

• Alcohol withdrawal syndrome
• Cocaine intoxication
• Intranasal disease
• Amphetamine psychosis
• Migraines
• Schizophrenia
• Temporal Lobe Epilepsy
