Hallucinations of the sense of touch. May affect any part of the body surface, the genitals being the commonest. Common in schizophrenia, but drug withdrawal can also be a cause. Cocaine addicts complain of feeling sensations like insects crawling under the skin, known as the "cocaine bug".
