Sometimes I dream of flying, but I never dream of loving because If there's something I desire, I'm a 26-year old male geek, and am now working as a software engineer in the Baltimore area for a CAD software company. I recently (well, 2003) graduated as a Computer Science major from the University of Rochester, in Rochester, NY. My geekiness knows no bounds: I can effectively communicate with other humans in C, Java, Perl, assembly, l33tsp34k, and ZZT-OOP. I played King's Quest I the month it came out, sitting on my mom's lap. I fervently discuss theoretical topics in mobile autonomous robotics over dinner, regardless of the presence of disinterested females. I am always looking for something new to revile, like Emacs, meatheads, functional languages, KDE, and Tripod Member Pages. I can recite from memory the G-Man's speech at the end of Half-Life. I loathe Microsoft and I loathe the undead. My deft floral arrangements have earned me fame in international botany circles. My primary area of expertise is computers, but I'm fascinated by basically anything and I like to pretend I know something about everything. I guess this makes me more than just a computer geek. I'm not exactly sure how I got to this place, but here I am and it feels like home. The people here are interesting, diverse, and REAL, like so many people online aren't. I generally shun activities that intrude on my life; I refuse to keep a journal, and I don't bring a camera on my vacations. Lives aren't lived for the purpose of being recorded in journals, and vacations aren't taken for the purpose of accumulating photographs. Perhaps someday I will quit E2 for the same reason, but for now it's all you excellent people who keep me coming back. /me owes it all to the 3Suns C! I wanted something that was good for reading lots of small text with, not too repulsive, and appearing somewhat work-related in case somebody happens to walk by my cubicle... ekw_alinkcolor="blue"; ekw_bgcolor="#FAFFF0"; ekw_headingfont="Fontin,DejaVu Sans,Verdana,sans-serif"; ekw_linkcolor="green"; ekw_logoaccenttext="#F0FFF0"; ekw_logobackground="#a0d2a0"; ekw_logoborder="black"; ekw_logofont="Fontin,Tahoma,Serif"; ekw_logofontsize="18pt"; ekw_logomaintext="black"; ekw_monofont="DejaVu Sans Mono,Courier, monospace"; ekw_monofontsize="10pt"; ekw_oddrowcolor="#a0d2a0"; ekw_textcolor="black"; ekw_textfont="Fontin,DejaVu Sans,Verdana,sans-serif"; ekw_textfontsize="10pt"; ekw_vlinkcolor="black"; |
