I like Sir Isaac Newton. While I do wish that he would've died of tuberculosis before inventing calculus, he is actually a lot like me and many of my friends (freaking brilliant, but that's not why he's like us). He has some spare time around 1666 (Cambridge is infested with the Plague and all that), so he just invents calculus and the laws of gravity. No problem. Last summer I waitressed at the Country Kitchen and watched a lot of TV. The best part about Newton? Never published any of his work (never would have, were it not for Edmund Halley). Why? Because "then people would want to talk to him." Haha. God forbid. People freaking suck most of the time. Of the handful people I know that I actually respect and appreciate, there are about 2 with whom I can spend extended periods of time without craving solitude. Usually, even when I'm with people I like, I'd just rather be alone. Well... by alone I mean in my room watching TV and communicating with the world through my laptop. Rather be with a computer than people... no, that's not it. I just don't like people. I'd rather be with a pool of pirhanas than most people. Sigh... OK, done. Wait, no. This homenode makes me look like a depressed socially inept angsty teen. In reality, I am a happy, relatively friendly college student with an inordinate amount of self-esteem.
