The
AIDS Housing of Washington
AHW was founded in
1988 expressly to
develop the first facility and day health program designed to serve people living with
HIV/AIDS in the
USA.
Since that time, AHW has expanded its activities to include the provision of technical assistance to AIDS service and housing
organizations all over the country, in addition to developing HIV/AIDS housing locally.
The mission of AHW is to increase the
quantity and
quality of housing for people living with HIV/AIDS in the
United States.
AHW has a staff and board of directors that reflects the
diversity of the
community affected by HIV/AIDS, including people of
color,
families,
professionals, and
disabled individuals.
