For some reason, these only seem to exist in the
South - at least, I haven't seen a day worthy of this name since I moved North for college...
A lazy hammock day is exactly what it sounds like, and so much more. The dogwoods are blooming, the sun is out, it's around 80 degrees, the grass needs mowing, but you don't care, you've got a pitcher of lemonade on the little table next to the hammock and a pitcher of sun tea brewing over on the deck, and right in the middle of everything, totally at peace, rendered incapable of motion by the light and the lemonade and the sheer ecstasy of existence, is you, and there's not a damn thing in the world that could make you move.
These usually happen on Sundays, because Sundays tend to be lazy days anyway.
I am currently kicking myself for not going to Duke - instead of lazy hammock days starting in mid-March, when the temperature gets above 70 degrees, I got cold, foggy, rainy days all through April and at least the start of May.
