This is an index to nodes written about the events of each year in this amazing period of history, where
Feudalism, the
Renaissance, and the
Age of Discovery gave way to
The Enlightenment, the
Industrial Revolution and the
Age of Colonialism, and above all,
war,
war,
war,
war,
war,
war, and
more war.
How I Made the Year Nodes is long enough to be off in its own writeup;

17th Century - 18th Century - 19th Century
You will notice that I have included the year 1700 in the eighteenth
century, as I have little patience for pedantic statements about a year-counting
system which missed the event it supposedly starts from by six or seven
years. Although I expressed a willingness to be invited to millennium
parties, no-one obliged. But if you insist, here's a link to the year 1800.
