Tell me a story about power and passion
About the deeds that were done
And how the world they did fashion
Tell me a story of the love and the hate
About who I am and what is my fate
Ages 40-60
Tell me a story about middle age
Of memories gone by
And what once was the rage
Tell me a story about times that are gone
So I can remember and try to live on
Ages 60-80
Tell me a story about the days of my youth
For I’m getting too old
To remember the truth
Tell me a story as I lie here in bed
Too tired to move, just glad I’m not dead

When my eyes finally close
