Chaosphere is a rare three mana red world enchantment card from Magic: The Gathering. At the time of this noding, it has one printing in Mirage (MIR), illustrated by Steve Luke, Collector #164, and is part of the Reserved List. There should be no future printings. This remains to be seen.
As of 2023-11-21, it is legal in the following formats: Legacy, Vintage, Commander, and Oathbreaker.
Chaosphere can be cast by a player for two generic and one red mana. Upon resolution, it changes the rules on the battlefield for all players. Every creature with flying will only be able to block other creatures with flying. All creatures without flying now have reach, allowing them to block creatures with flying. This can change the tide of the battle. It can also be used, in some circumstances, as removal per the "world rule." When a world permanent enters the battlefield, any world permanents that were already in play are put into their owners’ graveyards. The new world permanent remains on the battlefield. If two, or more, world permanents enter the battlefield at the same time, each goes into its owners’ graveyards. Kazuul, Tyrant of the Cliffs, approves of this enchantment.
