This poem is meant to have a slight
ghetto feeling to the language.
Little girl, I know you're there,
Please come
outside and let down your
hair.
I know I'm
new, I know I'm
strange,
But how can you live without any
change?
You know the
day goes, you know it will come
Whether or not there's a
moon or a
sun.
There's no way to go and there's nowhere no
run,
‘Cause
change won't
stop for anyone.
Little girl, don't
hide in there,
‘Cause they can't
love and they don't
care.
I know you're
young, I know you're
strong,
You know inside that the whole
world's wrong.
You know the
day goes, you know it will come,
Whether or not there's a
moon or a
sun.
There’s no place to go, so don’t try to
run,
‘Cause
change don’t
stop for anyone.
