Nokia's first communicator product based on Symbian's Crystal reference platform.
The design follows the clamshell - approach of Nokia's previous Communicators, and weighs 244g and measures as 158 x 56 x 27 mm. It has a talk time of 4-10 hours and a
standby time of up to 230 hours. It has a 4096 colour display, works with Microsoft file formats and is SyncML enabled (the first commerically available product to use SyncML). It is dual band enabled, 900/1800 GSM (i.e., Non-US frequencies for), and supports High Speed Circuit Switched Data (HSCSD), with claimed data speeds up to 43 kbps, depending on network support (average HCSD speeds currently run at 28.8 - 64 kps). Expansion is provided via a memory card, with a 16Mb card as standard.
