1941- One of the founding members of the
improvisational comedy troupe, the
Firesign Theatre. The other 3 being:
Peter Bergman,
Phil Proctor amd
David Ossman. He was working at Santa Monica radio station
KPFK doing a show called 'Plays by Dead Authors' which included Ossman. He also wrote for the show called '
Radio Free Oz".
He is probably best known for his portrayal of the detective Nick Danger, a character which first appeared on the album How Can You Be in Two Places at Once When You're Not Anywhere at All?.
In 1973, he released a solo album called
Rollermaidens From Outer Space which included the single
C'mon Jesus.
