A
mythic Greek hero. Telamon was the son of Aeacus, King of
Aegina, and brother of
Peleus. The two brother sailed in the voyage for the
Golden Fleece, and were present at the hunt for the Calydonian Boar.
When Peleus and Telamon killed their brother, Phocus, they fled Aegina and Telamon reached Salamis. There he befriended King Cychreus, who appointed him hair to the throne.
Later Telamon participated in Heracles' sacking of Troy, and killed King Laomedon. Telamon had two sons: Aias (aka Ajax) and Teucer.
