A
choir and
orchestra group of more than 120 young people (from
junior high through
college) in the
St. Louis area, directed by Fr. Bruce Forman and kept organized by Mrs. Mary Smith. The group is dedicated to learning and performing Catholic
liturgical music, and visits a different
parish each month for this purpose. They also go on tour each year, performing secular music (e.g., tame selections like
American Pop Forever and
100 Years of Broadway) in such locations as
Orlando and
New York City.
As of 2000, the group was in its 25th year, with no signs of stopping. It is a friendly group, and their music can be enjoyed by people from all religious or non-religous backgrounds. The social events the group participates in have actually inspired a number of teenagers to get a life, in the positive sense of the phrase.
